Dental Implants

Dental implants Argyle are a surgical component(s) that connect a dental prosthesis to the bone of the skull or jaw. Dental implants provide patients with a full and healthy smile and are commonly recommended for patients who are missing a few teeth and/or who would prefer something more permanent than dentures.

All on 4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 Dental Implants are a unique type of dental implant that supports all teeth using only four implants, rather than one implant per tooth. All-on-4 is recommended for patients who are missing the majority of their teeth and are looking for a cost-effective and less invasive solution to return their full, healthy smile.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

To determine if wisdom teeth removal is indeed in your best interests, you will want to schedule an initial evaluation. During this consultation we will examine the overall health of your teeth, review your medical history, and determine what treatment options are best suited to your specific needs. Our teeth and gums are as unique to us as our fingerprints; we are all different.

Gum Disease

Gum disease encompasses a wide range of inflammatory conditions that affect tissues surrounding the teeth. The earliest stage of gum disease (gingivitis) is characterized by gums that are red, swollen, and/or bleeding. Advanced gum disease (periodontitis) is characterized by gums that have begun to pull back from the tooth, bone loss, halitosis, and/or potential loss of a tooth or teeth. Approximately 75% of adults currently suffer from some form of gum disease.

Pinhole Gum Surgery

Pinhole Surgical Technique is a new and increasingly popular method for treating gum recession. The procedure involves making small holes in your gumline, through which your periodontist can loosen the gums and move them to the desired position. This procedure requires specially trained periodontists to perform, but is very popular with patients because it is significantly less painful and recovery time is faster than the traditional gum graft.

Laser Gum Therapy

Laser gum therapy is an advanced treatment option that efficiently and painlessly treats gum disease through the use of a laser. One of the unique aspects of laser gum therapy is that the laser pinpoints and kills bacteria without damaging surrounding gum tissue. Patients typically prefer Laser Gum Therapy because the process causes less discomfort and healing time is much faster.

Gum Recession

Patients who have experienced a progressive loss of gum tissue are experiencing gum recession. Gum recession results in teeth appearing to be longer than normal, and if left untreated long enough, will result in tooth root exposure. When this occurs, teeth will typically become more sensitive to cold and heat, and are at an increased risk of being damaged. Gum recession can typically be corrected through gum grafting procedures.

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry is often provided to patients who are having intensive oral procedures performed and/or for patients who have extra sensitive teeth or anxiety related to having dental procedures performed. There are a range of sedation types that may be offered, ranging from mild, moderate, and deep sedation.

Tooth Exposure

Tooth exposure is a procedure that involves uncovering a permanent tooth that has not yet erupted. This is done by making a tiny incision in your gum, through which the tooth can erupt. It is important to address impacted teeth because failure to do so can result in painful infections developing.

LANAP

LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is a minimally invasive treatment option for periodontal issues. Unlike traditional methods of treating periodontal disease, which require the use of scalpels and other invasive devices, LANAP can pinpoint and kill bacteria without damaging surrounding gum tissue. Patients often prefer being treated with LANAP because it creates less discomfort and the healing process is much faster.

Frenectomy

A frenectomy (frenulectomy) is a procedure that addresses and corrects issues related to a frenum. This procedure is most typically performed on children and typically involves the removal of the frenulum. The two most common type of frenulum’s that are addressed at our clinic are the lingual frenum and the maxiliary labial frenum.

Gum Contouring

Gum contouring is a procedure that is commonly performed to address patients who have an excessive amount of gum tissue (gummy smile). During the gum contouring procedure, we remove excess tissue to create a gumline that is more uniform and aesthetically pleasing. In addition to the improved aesthetic appearance, gum contouring also improves the patient’s overall oral health by reducing the pocket depths between the teeth and gums.

Scaling & Root Planing

Scaling and Root Planing is a common method used to address periodontal disease. Scaling refers to the process of removing tartar that has accumulated, either on your teeth or below your gumline. Planing refers to the removal of tartar below the root line.

Laser Gum Surgery

Laser gum surgery is an advanced treatment option that efficiently and painlessly treats gum disease through the use of a laser. One of the unique aspects of laser gum surgery is that the laser pinpoints and kills bacteria without damaging surrounding gum tissue. Unlike other treatment options, which involve cutting and suturing, patients who have laser gum surgery performed will have a much quicker healing process.

Crown Lengthening

Patients who have an excessive amount of gum tissue (gummy smile) may be good candidates for a crown lengthening procedure, which involves removing a small amount of gum and bone, which exposes more of the tooth or teeth, thereby reducing the appearance of a gummy smile. Crown lengthening is a popular procedure because it is quick and relatively painless.
