Asfia Husain DDS, MS

Meet Dr. Asfia Husain, a highly skilled and compassionate periodontist who is committed to providing her patients with the best possible care. With a wealth of experience and an enthusiasm for continuing education, Dr. Husain is a leader in her field, bringing her expertise and passion for periodontics to every patient she sees.

Dr. Husain is a Board-Certified periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This prestigious title is only granted to periodontists who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in their field, and Dr. Husain is no exception. She earned her specialty certificate in Periodontics and her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she was also a part-time clinical instructor in the pre-doctoral clinics. She is also currently an adjunct clinical faculty at Texas A&M College of Dentistry.

As a periodontist, Dr. Husain is highly skilled in a variety of dental surgical procedures, including bone and soft tissue grafting, dental implant placement, minimally invasive LANAP and other laser procedures, and the treatment of chronic periodontal diseases. In addition to her extensive training, Dr. Husain is also certified in sedation dentistry, allowing her to provide her patients with a variety of options to help them feel relaxed and at ease during their visits. Whether through nitrous, oral, or IV sedation, Dr. Husain is committed to making sure that her patients are as comfortable as possible throughout their treatments.

Dr. Husain's passion for periodontics extends beyond the walls of her practice. She is dedicated to improving oral health and decreasing clinical signs of gingivitis, and her research focuses on the associations between periodontal disease and other systemic medical conditions. Dr. Husain has presented her research on these topics nationally, and has also presented several posters on clinical cases involving ridge augmentation, full arch rehabilitation, and soft tissue grafting.In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Husain is also an active member of several local and national dental societies, including the Southwest Society of Periodontics, American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and Texas Dental Association.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Husain is thrilled to be back in her hometown after spending several years away. When she is not practicing periodontics, Dr. Husain enjoys painting, cooking up delicious new dishes, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
