All on 4 Dental Implants Denton, TX

All-on-4 Dental Implants Denton TX are a reasonably new and unique type of dental implant that support a tray of teeth using only four implants, rather than one implant per tooth. The All-on-4 is typically recommended for patients who are missing most of their teeth and are looking for a cost-effective solution and less invasive method to return their full, healthy smile.

All-on-4 dental implants are becoming a popular option because they offer a permanent solution to missing teeth that is less invasive than other solutions like traditional dental bridges, implants, or dentures.

The professionally trained team at Root Periodontal and Implant Center at 1601 North Elm in Denton, Texas specialize in understanding the dynamics of the All-on-4 procedure. If you have more questions concerning whether the All-on-4 option is right for you, contact us today at 940-566-7021. We are dedicated to ensuring you maintain a bright and healthy smile. We are quite proud to provide the latest in dental technology to ensure that you achieve the long-lasting results that you deserve.

Candidates for All-on-4 Dental Implants

To begin, All-on-4 Dental Implants are a good option for patients who have lost most or all their teeth and would prefer to have a longer lasting solution than dentures. Although you are really never too old for All-on-4 Dental Implants, you certainly can be too young since facial, and dental bones are still forming through the younger adult years.

There is quite a range of immediate and long-term benefits that you will enjoy after your All-on-4 Dental Implants, including the following:

  • Feels and functions like natural teeth
  • Easier to speak compared to bulky dentures
  • Minimally invasive compared to individual implants
  • Cost effective
  • Faster results and quicker recovery time
  • Less discomfort and maintenance then dentures
  • Reduces the likelihood of requiring a bone graft
  • Maintains the integrity of bone structure
  • Evenly distributes bite forces
  • Keeps adjacent teeth healthy
  • Prevents additional bone loss, which will create an aged appearance

Denton All-on-4 Dental Implants Procedure

In order to determine whether All-on-4 Dental Implants are right for you, you will first need to schedule a preliminary consultation, at which time we will examine the overall health of your teeth and gums, review your medical history, take x-rays and scans, and then decide together what treatment options are best suited to your unique needs. Next, your periodontist will then examine your jawbone to ensure that there is an adequate amount of bone density to support and hold an implant in place.

If we agree that All-on-4 Dental Implants are the best treatment option for you, your periodontist will next develop the implant placement plan designed specifically for your unique needs to maximize the support necessary for the denture tray. The four implants will be placed strategically for this purpose.

The procedure then begins with the administration of a local anesthesia. Once the soft tissue of the gumline is sufficiently numb our periodontist might first have to remove any remaining unhealthy or loose teeth. Then a small incision will be created in the gum to gain access to the jawbone. Then a small hole will be drilled in the jawbone into which the implant will be inserted. The actual dental implant is a small titanium post. In finishing the small surgical site will be sutured closed. The next several months will be crucial as that titanium post needs to grow or fuse to the jawbone. During this time, you will be fitted for a temporary set of dentures. Once the team determines the posts are adequately fused, we will add extensions or abutments to reach the surface. The permanent tray with the ceramic artificial teeth that have been fabricated in the dental lab have small clips on the inside. These clips snap on to the extensions and your All-on-4 implants are finished and secured. The All-on-4 Dental Implants provide the security of positioning and the posts serve as roots, delivering sensations of pressure through biting, chewing, speaking and even temperature variations.

Aftercare for All-On-4 Dental Implants in Denton

Following your All-on-4 procedure, the recovery time is quite minimal, although you will need to allow two to three months for the implants to fuse with the jawbone. It will be necessary to follow some special aftercare instructions; however, to maximize your benefits and to extend the longevity of your All-on-4 Dental Implants, it is also critical to practice good oral hygiene habits at home. These simple habits include brushing your teeth twice daily and flossing at least once daily. In addition, you should practice proper brushing and flossing techniques. On top of practicing this consistent and proper oral selfcare, it is actually just as important to schedule regular checkups every six months. By maintaining this consistent and preventative oral health care, you will significantly reduce the risk of developing additional periodontal issues and it will allow you to continue to enjoy your healthy smile.

All-On-4 Dental Implants Cost

One of the primary benefits of pursuing All-on-4 dental implants is that in doing so it is typically more cost effective than having many individual implants. There is a variety of factors that can impact the final cost of having All-on-4 implants. There is the severity of your particular situation, the addition of any sedation over the anesthesia, the number of visits necessary and any associated procedures like extractions or bone grafting that will need to be performed, as well as your insurance plan.

Our experienced team is committed to helping you through all necessary paperwork, scheduling appointments, and answering any questions you have concerning billing. For the patients who have insurance plans, we will request you submit medical/dental insurance information with your New Patient Paperwork to help us expedite this process.

To reduce costs to our patients while still ensuring that we can provide the highest level of care, our office will have the following financial polices:

  • We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express
  • Full payment is due after services rendered
  • Payment plan options are available via CareCredit.com

PERIODONTAL SERVICES

To determine if you have gum disease, your periodontist will measure the space between your teeth and gums. Patients who have pockets that are deeper than the average depth of three millimeters or less will be considered candidates for treating gum disease. Depending upon how severe your case is, your periodontist will suggest a follow up appointment, during which several different treatment options may be recommended.
