All on 4 Dental Implants Frisco, TX

All-on-4 Dental Implants Frisco TX are a unique type of tooth replacement, combining the technology of a dental implant and the traditional benefits a of removable denture. Candidates for All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 Dental Implants are now a good option for those patients who have lost most or all their teeth and would prefer to have a more permanent solution than dentures. Although you are never really too old for All-on-4 Dental Implants, you certainly can be too young. If you have suffered major tooth loss young due to an accident the facial and dental bones are still forming through the younger adult years, so it is best to wait.

There are quite a few immediate and long-term benefits that you will enjoy following your All-on-4 Dental Implants, including the following:

  • Feels and functions like natural teeth
  • Evenly distributes bite forces
  • Easier to speak compared to traditional dentures
  • Minimally invasive compared to individual implants
  • Cost effective
  • Faster results and quicker recovery time
  • Less discomfort and maintenance then traditional dentures
  • Reduces likelihood of requiring a bone graft
  • Maintains integrity of bone structure
  • Keeps any adjacent teeth healthy
  • Prevents additional jawbone loss, which can create an aged appearance

Frisco All-on-4 Dental Implants Procedure

You will need to schedule an initial consultation, to see if All-on-4 Dental Implants are right for you. At this evaluation we will examine the overall health of your teeth, review your medical history, take scans and x-rays, and then determine what treatment options are best suited to your unique needs. We will also examine your jawbone to ensure there is an adequate amount of bone density to hold an implant in place.

If All-on-4 Dental Implants are indeed an option for you, your periodontist will then develop the implant placement plan designed specifically for your unique needs to maximize any and all support necessary for the denture tray.

Your procedure begins with the administration of some local anesthesia. If you experience dental anxiety a sedative will be added. When the soft tissue of the gum is sufficiently numbed our periodontist will first have to remove any unhealthy or loose teeth. Or, if you do not have extractions the implant procedure is next. A small incision will be opened to gain access to the jawbone. Then a hole will be drilled in the jawbone into which the implant will be placed. This dental implant is a small titanium post. Just like that the surgical site will be sutured closed and this first step is finished. The next several months are pivotal as the post must grow or fuse to the jawbone. During this waiting period you will be fitted for a temporary set of dentures. Once we have determined the posts are adequately fused, we add extensions or abutments to the posts to reach the surface. The permanent denture trays that have been fabricated in the dental lab have small clips on the inside. These clips snap right on to the extensions and your All-on-4 implants are connected and finished. The All-on-4 Dental Implants provide the security of stable positioning and the posts serve as unique roots, delivering sensations of pressure through biting and chewing and even delivering temperature variations.

Aftercare for All-On-4 Dental Implants in Frisco

After the All-on-4 procedure the recovery time is minimal, although you will need to be patient during those two to three months for the crucial bonding of the jawbone to the implants. It will be advantageous to follow special aftercare instructions. However, to really maximize the benefits, the longevity and to extend the life expectancy of your All-on-4 Dental Implants, it is quite important to practice your good oral hygiene habits at home daily. This simple includes brushing your teeth twice daily and flossing at least once daily. It is also just as important to also practice proper brushing and flossing methods. In addition to practicing this consistent and proper oral selfcare, it is also rather critical to schedule regular checkups every six months. By maintaining a preventative and consistent approach to your oral health care routine, you will significantly reduce the risk of developing any additional periodontal issues and will continue to enjoy a healthy smile.

All-On-4 Dental Implants Cost

One of the primary benefits of considering All-on-4 dental implants is that they are typically more cost effective than having many individual implants. There are several contributing factors that can impact your final cost of having All-on-4 implants. It begins with the severity of your case, the addition of any sedation during the procedure for anxiety, the number of visits necessary and any associated procedures, such as extraction or bone grafting,  that will need to be performed, as well as your insurance plan.

Our dedicated team will focus on helping you complete necessary paperwork, schedule appointments, and answer any questions you have concerning billing. For those patients with insurance plans, we do request you submit medical/dental insurance information with your New Patient Paperwork to expedite the process.

Please note: to reduce the costs to all our patients while still ensuring that we can provide the highest level of care, we have the following financial polices:

  • We accept Visa, Discover, MasterCard, and American Express
  • Full payment is due after services rendered
  • Payment plan options are available via CareCredit.com

PERIODONTAL SERVICES

To determine if you have gum disease, your periodontist will measure the space between your teeth and gums. Patients who have pockets that are deeper than the average depth of three millimeters or less will be considered candidates for treating gum disease. Depending upon how severe your case is, your periodontist will suggest a follow up appointment, during which several different treatment options may be recommended.
