To reverse gum disease, there are several ways it can be treated, and prevented from happening again in the future. We can treat it with; Antibiotics, Root Planing and Scaling, Gingivectomy, and Flap surgery. We are going to explain how all the above treatment options will help reverse gum disease.
Antibiotics - When have you an infected tooth, we will either give you antibiotics to take or we can give it to you in a shot where the infected tooth is located, to get rid of the infection.
Root Planing and Scaling - This is for severe gum infection that will not go away solely with antibiotics. We get in your mouth and clean really deep between your gums and teeth, all the way to your roots.
Gingivectomy - This is a surgical procedure in which we remove the infected gum tissue and we replace it with healthy tissue from the roof of your mouth, also known as a gum graft.
Flap Surgery - The is for really severe cases of gum disease in which we may have to replace your bones.
