It is said that oil pulling, when done correctly every day, can actually improve oral health with time. The reasons behind this are plentiful and many that have tried the remedy have sworn by it.
Due to this, many are considering oil pulling as an actual way to cleanse the mouth out and replace the regular cleanings that are done, though this is not recommended. Oil pulling in addition to regular oral hygiene practices such as brushing and flossing is ideal, but the two should never be replaced.

When a person oil pulls, which is the practice of swishing an oil which is usually coconut, sesame or sunflower oil in the mouth for up to 20 minutes. It is said that this method will remove all of the decay and problems that are found in and out of the teeth by filling in these areas with nutrients and vitamins.
Additionally, oil pulling will pull out any bacteria, infectious or not, from the inside of the mouth. This is a great consideration to make if you find that you have a lot of bacteria hiding in the mouth on a daily basis that causes a lot of decay.
